About mugwort

Mugwort — Artemisia — is one of the older herbs in Chinese household practice, known as ai ye. Bundles are still hung at doorways during the Dragon Boat Festival, and dried mugwort has been burned in Chinese homes for centuries. The scent is nothing like a flower: bitter-green and low, with something of woodsmoke about it.

How to
Electric diffuser or humidifier — five to ten drops in the water.

Diffuser stand — three to five drops straight onto the stones or crystals in a container such as a concrete bowl or coconut shell, topped up when the scent fades.

Luffa, or a cotton pad — a drop or two, tucked into a drawer, a wardrobe or the car.
