About mugwort

Mugwort, Artemisia, is one of the older herbs in Chinese household practice, known as ai ye. Bundles are still hung at doorways during the Dragon Boat Festival, and dried mugwort has been burned in Chinese homes for centuries.

The scent is nothing like a flower: bitter-green and low, with something of woodsmoke about it. If the florals aren't for you, start here.
