A gua sha tool in smooth cast resin, in four shapes. Cool against the skin and quick to glide — the easier of our two materials to start with.
Resin or sandalwood?
It's a preference rather than a ranking. Resin is cool to the touch, dense, and glides a little faster over oiled skin, which makes it forgiving if you're still finding the right pressure. Sandalwood is warmer in the hand and carries a faint natural scent.
If you're buying your first tool, most people find resin the simpler place to begin.
Choosing a shape
| Heart | An all-rounder, and a good first tool |
| Shrimp | Jawline and cheeks — the curve follows the face closely |
| Beetle | Broad strokes across cheeks and forehead |
| Spatula | Body — long strokes on arms, legs and shoulders |
Caring for it
Wash with warm water and a little mild soap after each use, and dry it before storing. Resin doesn't mind water the way wood does, but keep it out of direct heat.
